IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR MOTORHOME RENTAL
Ø Observe all state and federal traffic laws; not doing
so is in violation of your rental contract.
Ø Do not travel with more than four people in the
compact MH, five people in the Standard MH, and seven people in the Large MH.
Yes, children of any age count.
Ø Wear seatbelts at all times while traveling.
Ø Height of vehicle is 12’; width is 9’9”.
Ø ALWAYS have someone behind you guiding you when
backing up.
Ø Make wide turns, watch out for the rear-end swing of
the unit.
Ø Check oil each time you fill up the gas tank. If you
need to add oil use 5W-20 oil and keep the receipt for reimbursement upon your
return. Also, check tires for pressure and wear at each fuel stop.
Ø 11:00 a.m. check-in time on day of return or $25.00/hr
late fees will be automatically applied. Your being late is likely to cause
serious delays with another renter who had planned on picking up their unit
upon your return.
Ø If you experience problems during the rental of your
motorhome Call Cruise America at 1-800-334-4110. Cruise America personnel at the hot-line phone
number are trained to deal with any kind of problem that you may experience
with the RV. Certain problems may be remedied with advise from Cruise America,
while others may require professional attention.
Ø Do not try to repair a flat or damaged tire. Call 1-800-334-4110.
Ø If you are in an accident of any kind;
o Ensure that everyone is safe – if need be call 911.
o Call 1-800-334-4110 immediately.
o Get the names, addresses, phone numbers, and insurance
information of any other party involved in the accident. Record this
information on the Accident Report Form provided you at departure.
Ø If you determine that you need to replace the sewer
hose, windshield wipers, or other minor items on the unit; please do so using
your discretion, bring back receipts and you will be reimbursed upon your
return.
Ø Other charges that may apply:

Cleaning - The unit must be returned clean inside
(i.e. floors, refrigerator, bathroom, toilet, shower, sinks, beds, etc.) and
outside and returned in a “ready to rent” state. On a pre-paid basis Prosser RV will clean the
interior and exterior of the motorhome for $70 assuming “normal use” cleaning
services are required. Surcharges may apply for “excessive cleaning requirements”
(e.g pet hair, lots of dirt and/or filth in the motorhome or compartments,
stinky refrigerator, excessive bug or mud on the exterior, etc.) at a rate of
$45/hour.
§ Normal Use Cleaning Fees are: $35.00 interior plus $35
exterior
o Pets -
While pets are allowed in the motorhome, you are responsible for any damage
caused by pets and any cleaning that may be required because of your pet. For
example removing pet hair from the upholstery is often very difficult as is
removing “pet odors”.
o Smoking -
is not allowed in the units. Tobacco/cigar smoke smell upon your return will
result in a $100 “ionization” air cleaning charge.
o Damage – renter responsible for 1st $500 of damage per
occurrence.
o
Holding Tanks – if you intend to return the unit with the wastewater
holding tanks empty to avoid dumping fees, you must leave the cap off (swing it
over the top of one of the valves) and leave both the holding tank valves open.
If you choose not to do this a $35.00 holding tank emptying fee will be
applied upon your return.
o
$5/gal. 5-8 gallons is typical ($25-$40)

Fuel – return the unit with the same level of fuel as it
was at your departure or we will refill the fuel tank for a charge of
$4.50/gallon (plus surcharges if any).
o Propane - return the unit with the same level of propane as it was at your
departure (the propane tank is topped off prior to your departure, the tank
fills to 80% of max for safety, the gauge on the outside of the propane tank
will read from 3/4 to F when it is “full”. We will refill the propane tank for
a charge of $5.00/gallon (plus surcharges if any). The tank holds 11.2
gallons.
o Generator – you will be charged $3.00/hour for generator usage.
o Engine Oil and Coolant - You will be charged $10 per quart if the coolant
and/or engine oil is at or below the minimum fill line upon your return and may
be liable for any damage caused by you not replenishing the engine oil and
coolant during your trip.
